Spotlight: How To Pack Your China or Dishware

In order to make your move safe for your possessions, you may find it helpful to understand how to best pack china or dishware. These belongings are obviously valuable and need to be taken care of with the utmost detail and attention.

  1. Make sure that you pack your china in bubble wrap or plenty of packing paper. One thing to keep in mind is that newsprint should not be used to pack your priceless china.
  2. Small, secure boxes should be used to actually transport the china. This will ensure that not a lot of weight will surround the china and it will be safer. Make sure that the china is packed in the box as tightly as possible. It should not be able to move at all. You don’t want the china to move during transit.
  3. Write on the outside of the box, “FRAGILE CONTENTS: HANDLE WITH CARE. THIS SIDE UP.” This will help movers know what the box contains.

Find a specific place in the moving automobile or transportation to make sure that the boxes of china will not be stacked upon or squished.
