The Logistics of Moving

The months of June, July and August are the busiest moving months of the year – especially up here in the Midwest. If you will be moving this summer, the time to plan for that move is now. The more time you have to prepare, the easier your move will be. The biggest decision to make is to determine where you will be moving. Is your new home larger or smaller than your current residence? Will you be bringing all of your current possessions, or will you need to sell and/or donate furniture?

When you know what things will be moving with you, it is time to figure out how you will move everything. If you will be using a moving company, you should research movers in your area and get a few quotes. (Contact us today for a free quote!) Be sure and ask any questions you have. You can never be “too informed.” If you do not plan to use a moving company, begin recruiting help right away. There is nothing worse when it comes to moving than realizing all of your “help” is busy on the day of the move.
